Questions
Does it really work?
It can help with water sitting in the speaker opening: low tones make the speaker cone vibrate, which can push small drops out of the grille. There is no guarantee, and it cannot repair water damage inside the phone.
Is it safe for my speaker?
The tone runs for a short fixed time at a normal level. Stop if you hear rattling or distortion.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It runs in any modern browser. There is also a free Android app that works offline.
Why 165 Hz?
It is a commonly used value. Low tones move a speaker cone more than high tones at the same loudness, and that movement is what pushes water out.
